Exposure: Giving Blood

Do you play with mood lighting when you are trying to shoot a picture?

Sure this may not be the most technically advanced photo but it definitely set the mood. One of the hardest parts of the 365 days project is that there are some days you just don’t want to do anything due to exhaustion. I was in this boat and I figured a picture that was a bit darker would set the mood a bit.

Also, feel free to play with depth of field a bit – i can add character to your picture along with making it much more interesting to look at.

Also, give blood! It saves lives!

  1. Giving blood is a great thing. I’ve always wanted to be a regular donor but after a vasovagal response situation in NYC I was told that some people are better off donating money. Cheers to all you blood donors out there!

  2. I used to get in trouble for giving blood 30 min before showing up to work dinner rush at the restaurant. My boss said i acted loopy. I told her, these nights my job is more bearable and i get more tips (cause i may or may not have “happened” to roll up my sleeves so you could see that i gave blood.

I miss it. I wonder if i’m even still eligible?

  3. I did back in 2009. These are just ones I’m bringing out because a few people were interested in them. 😀 I loved the project but right now there is no way I could do this on my current time schedule!

  4. HAHAHAHA! Blizzard used to have the blood trucks come up to work and you could stay on the clock while donating blood. The bad thing was that you were dead on your feet when you came back in.

I’m wondering about eligibility as well.

  5. Woahh–I just clicked through to your Flickr (on the menu bar) and realized that we finished our projects like 5 days apart from eachother! haha crazy
