The awesome thing about travel is that you get to fill your life with a series of firsts on your life list.
First scuba dive.
First insect eaten.
First bout with altitude sickness.
First condor.
There is a side of me that has caught me by surprise. I somehow, mysteriously, LOVE to watch baseball games live. Hell, we watched one for our 7th wedding anniversary last in year in Oaxaca, Mexico.
In Phoenix I got to add another first to my extensive list:
My first MLB game – Diamondbacks vs. The Phillies
There is something weird that happens to me when I’m in a baseball stadium. With hotdog and beer in hand I start… heckling… and clapping… and shouting at players. I don’t know what happens to my brain at that time but a new Erica emerges when I enter those doors.
It was AWESOME. Not because it is so different than minor leagues (hell, even some minor league players are better than some of the guys coming up to bat), but because I finally got to participate in an American tradition I hadn’t before.
And there is something special about that.
I love when we meet different sides of ourselves 🙂 I’m a totally different gal the second I get to a city, and most people’s jaws drop when they hear me talk about UFC and watch it with me.
Enjoy a summer of baseball!
Looks really awesome! I think I would enjoy it too 😉
You watch UFC lol?! That is so awesome. I don’t know much about it except for the fact that there is one fighter that looks like Shaun.
Maybe one day we can go together?
