“I would love to showcase your work at my gallery!”
“Huh?!” The words moved around on my screen, the room got dizzy, and I remembered to breathe. Someone wants to showcase *my* work?
Never before have I heard the words, evocative and relatable, said to describe my photography – and even better, I have to have a room that has warnings for PG-13 material. Long live my near nudes and butt cheeks! You will live in the glory of a gallery!
So, my dear readers, I will be showcasing my 365 Days Project that I had created back in 2009 at the Locust Factory at the prestigious First Friday Art Walk in Kansas City, Missouri (which, now I say as Miz-urh-uh due to Modern Family) on August 1, 2014. If you are around the area, I would love to see your face – and you can see my butt. In a picture. Not live.
That being said, I also need a little bit of help from you (if you will have me). I’m doing a wee fundraiser to help me purchase gallery-quality prints that I will need to show my work. I don’t normally ask for things of this nature – but you would be doing me a huge favor.
This is a dream come true – and I can only hope that it will open more doors for me.
So will you? Help? I’ll do a fancy jig and send it to you via video if that is what it takes. There are a crap ton of perks – I’m not leaving you high and dry. Just know that you helped me do something big. You helped me with one of the biggest career perks of my life.
And if not, that is cool too. I would love to see your smiley face at the gallery. You can even purchase one of my prints there. 😉
More than anything, I want to say thank you. Thank you for keeping me inspired. Thank you for helping me continue my work. And thank you for helping me get lost in art and travel.
I have a GoFundMe page that I would love for you to check out:
