Nothing says a good time like a good ol’ sausage couch.

I’m not sure exactly what we were thinking but it definitely wasn’t this.

Currywurst is a cultural staple in Germany. With humble beginnings in Berlin, Herta Heuwer was able to attain curry, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce from British troops on the black market during World War II. Little did she know it would turn into the craze that it is today. I’m pretty sure she didn’t envision a building decorated in inflatable ketchup and curry wallpaper.

And while it was a bit pricey for about an hour of childish giggles, it was TOTALLY worth it. I mean, when else are you going to be able to get pictures like this?

  1. I just had to make this visit as well. Just couldn’t resist (plus it got me out of the snow for a while.) And surprisingly, I also found it rather enjoyable!

  2. STOP! That couch is seriously the funniest, most provocative thing I’ve ever seen!

  3. Glad about your visit! Nice post! Nice pictures! Marvellous tattoos and hair cut too! 🙂

  4. Haha I didn’t even know this existed! My hubby would have loved this place!!

  5. I also think it’s a bit expensive…. but SOOOOOOO cool! I want to hug Frech Fries as well!!!!
    Yummieeee
    And indeed, the coolest photos!

  6. Hilarious!! I want to hug the fries I had last night YUM. I may not love “red sauce,” but nothing beats a good Italian sausage… In the most innocent way. 😉

  7. Haha, what a random museum! Although that sausage couch actually manages to look somewhat 60s mod.

  8. I totally understand. I had wanted to go to this museum for some time so I was willing to pay the cost to get in. I think the sausage couch alone is worth it. 😛

  9. YES. So you understand my glee when it comes to things like this. Who in their right mind decided to make a MUSEUM?

  10. There is nothing like french fries. I had some with a habanero sauce the other night and it was HEAVEN.

…and good lord you’re killing me with your comment.

  11. Why yes, yes I did. How could I resist. Of course, my phone ran out of juice as I was finishing up my photos of the samples 🙁 Quite an interesting difference in the flavors and textures…
