CUTE! You guys did a great job – I can’t wait to see more! Couldn’t help but grin when I saw you on there at the end. 🙂

    • Erica April 16, 2011 at 11:26 am #

@Bethany: Thanks! Still trying to work out the kinks. The stop motion alone took a few hours to convert and make into the few seconds that were there.

Incredible job guys!!! Your video series is going to be kickass!

    • Erica April 16, 2011 at 11:26 am #

I love your style of videography….(is that a word?)

Very funky you two!!! Awesome intro as well…looking forward to more!

    • Erica April 16, 2011 at 11:29 am #

@Skott: That is the correct word! Thanks! 😀 I’m normally just an editor so actually shooting stuff is kicking my ass.

  5. Keith April 16, 2011 at 9:55 am #

You’ve got video skills. Can’t wait to watch whatever’s to come.

    • Erica April 16, 2011 at 11:29 am #

@Keith: Thanks! I’m sure it will get better when I actually have fun stuff to shoot!

  6. Jaime April 16, 2011 at 10:52 am #

    • Erica April 16, 2011 at 11:30 am #

@Jaime: ♥ I went to school for it so I’m hoping I can put something together. 😛

  7. Aly April 16, 2011 at 11:42 am #

Great video! Congrats on episode 1! We’re just getting into vid ourselves (just posted 2nd one) so I’ll be watching your episodes to learn more 🙂

    • Erica April 16, 2011 at 11:49 am #

@Aly: The first was trial by fire with our new gear. I’m hoping the next one will be 10x better. Thanks for stopping by! I always love your graphic design. 🙂

  8. Randy April 16, 2011 at 4:01 pm #

So I can say that I was there when you left. Good job mi hija.

    • Erica April 17, 2011 at 12:27 pm #

@Dad: You can! You even watched as I dorkily recorded us driving off!

  9. Lorna - the roamantics April 16, 2011 at 9:23 pm #

fun!!! love seeing you both there as well as including the sites. so impressed that you just took off and already have this up! good stuff <3

    • Erica April 17, 2011 at 12:28 pm #

@Lorna: I’m hoping that we’ll get into the flow of things as we go along. This first video kicked my ass. The time lapse was a pain in the ass.

  10. Heather April 17, 2011 at 1:57 am #

    And you’re off!!!

    • Erica April 17, 2011 at 12:29 pm #

      @Heather: LETS DO THIS!

  11. Christy @ Technosyncratic April 17, 2011 at 10:47 pm #

Stellar video! That time lapse is intense… it must have taken so much footage to do that. The driving at night was awesome, and then how it morphed into day…. very very cool. 🙂 Can’t wait to see more, and hope you two are having a blast!!

    • Erica April 18, 2011 at 9:49 am #

@Christy: The two in the beginning I took with my Nikon – just pictures and then pieced them together. The final I did with just recording. I think I like how the picture ones came out better.

  12. Amanda April 19, 2011 at 12:40 am #

Awesome video! I really need to work on my video skillz… Basically, I have none. Haha.

Love the time lapse bits, though. And the music. Everything fit together so well!

    • Shaun April 19, 2011 at 3:36 pm #

@ Amanda – We had a blast making it and trying different things. Erica is pretty stoked to dust off her editing skills and I’m sure she’d love to answer questions, give you tips, etc. 😀

  13. Alex April 19, 2011 at 5:04 am #

Awesome and very creative! Looking forward to the future ones.

    • Shaun April 19, 2011 at 3:38 pm #

@ Alex – So are we! Erica didn’t really have time to do much testing with her new camera before we started shooting, so they should be exponentially better as we go. ^^

  14. Aaron @ Aaron's Worldwide Adventures April 19, 2011 at 7:14 am #

Love the video guys! Looks sharp!

    • Shaun April 19, 2011 at 3:42 pm #

@ Aaron – Thanks! I’m sure you were talking about my Subie looking sharp- it’s nice to see appreciation for the beautiful car it is. 😀

  15. Mike Lenzen April 19, 2011 at 11:28 pm #

That’s cool that they let you film takeoff. I always get the lecture about stowing all items. Very neat video.

    • Erica April 20, 2011 at 12:17 pm #

@Mike: I tried to keep it discreet when we were on the plane. I would have probably done it anyways.

  16. Rebecca April 27, 2011 at 3:23 am #

Yay, it’s begun!! Seriously impressed with the video – can’t wait to see more! (And hopefully learn some tips from you guys about making and editing videos!)

  17. Samantha April 27, 2011 at 5:27 am #

Erica, I am really digging this. I can’t wait to see more! I need to start recording some of my trips. Any advice on how I can get started?
