Episode 9 – Santa Maria Volcano

We’ve upped our quality a notch by Shaun hauling the tripod up a massive hike, not to mention with audio equipment in tow (now you can HEAR US!). Join us as we head out to the Santa Maria volcano and rough it while going up to 13,000 feet above sea level! Needless to say, Xela really kick started our adventure travel!

This was probably the most difficult thing I have done in my life. Hope you enjoy – Shaun even has been messing around in Flash to bring you more MSPaintesque fun!

  1. @Dyanne: Thank you so much! We felt so awesome that we reached the summit but the video does no justice with how tired we actually were. I didn’t even go over how it started raining on us on the way down… ♥

  2. Well done for reaching the top, I thought for a moment you were quitting (although I don’t know why you would make a video if that was the case)

and it’s good to be able to hear you even if it means laughing about your nerdiness!

  3. That wasn’t anticlimactic. That was amazing. The only time I’ve ever seen clouds like that is from the inside of a plane. I can’t imagine what it was like to see and feel them swirling around you like that.

  4. @Poi: Thank you! I for a while thought we weren’t going to make it. Unfortunately it started pouring on us on the way down – if I had waterproof casing, I think it would have been more interesting than our way up.

  5. @Bre: Thanks! Actually, the clouds were freakin amazing. It i just hard to find people who appreciate clouds to the extent I did lol. I am kinda sad I missed out on seeing some of the smoke and lava on the side volcano though.

  6. I didn’t find it anti-climatic! Just before you said it, I was thinking how cool it was that you had clouds floating by below/underneath you!!!

  7. I absolutely loved it! The clouds were amazing! So proud of you for making it to the top!

  8. @Heather: I guess I thought people would like to see more than white puffy clouds – apparently I was wrong!

  9. @Jess: Thank you! We took extra special care with this one since we want our vids to be more professional. And thanks – I thought I was going to die a few times.

  10. ha! I freaking loved this. The turtle animation was stellar and the clouds were really pretty! When you’re that high it’s like your chiefin with the gods.

  11. @Maria: It was freakin UNBELIEVABLE. I have no words for how amazing it was up there. Everyone should have the chance to play with the clouds. 😀

  12. @Pam: It was a VERY hard climb. I knew I wasn’t going to quit but it really starts to play mind games with you after a while. The clouds were some of the most magical things I have ever seen in my LIFE.
