Instagram: Snapshots of Silicon Valley

For those of you who aren’t obsessively following Instagram like I am, I thought that I would bring you them gems that were caught during my recent trip out to Silicon Valley San Mateo County. I can say without a doubt that the fact that there is so much more to Silicon Valley than tech companies really blew my mind. I felt lucky I was there to capture it.

In regards to Instagram, to me there is something special caught on this digital format – or maybe I’m just a sucker for vintage filters that make pictures moody. Regardless, I think a lot of personality can be caught.

Thus I bring you, my #playbythebay experience.

  1. Don’t get me wrong, there is a LOT of tech stuff to do. I know quite a few places allow walkthroughs as well. I just couldn’t make an entire trip out of just that.

  2. I had a mental image of nothing but offices and generic residential subdivisions. Lots of “beige” and nothing interesting – However, now I see there’s an energy and vitality.

  3. Oh don’t get me wrong, it does have its fair share of block housing and buildings. I’m just glad to see awesome things break it up.

  4. Exactly, and that’s why I’m glad I read this post… you’ve given me a different opinion of Silicon Valley now 🙂
