Passports With Purpose 2011: Libraries in Zambia

Passports with Purpose

That time of the year has rolled around again – the time of do-goodery and awesomeness.

If you guys are looking for a good place to put your money, I highly suggest supporting the amazingness known as Passports With Purpose. Last year Over Yonderlust donated $10 of our saved travel money to build a village in India – AND they got more than the goal. This is one of the very few projects that we 100% stand behind and if you are looking to put your money to a good cause, this would be the place to do it.

This year, Passports With Purpose is working with Room to Read to build not one, but two libraries in Zambia. I was an insanely avid reader as a kid (hey now, you know I am nerdy!) and I know how important books can be to a kid’s imagination. I am standing behind this project con gusto.

Donate what you can. We know money is tight and every bit helps. For every $10 you donate, you get to pick a prize to be entered into – raffle style. Over Yonderlust is sponsoring The New SteriPEN Freedom. We are currently traveling with our beloved SteriPEN and expect to get the most out of it as we head into the serious hiking parts of South America. If you are a camper/hiker, this nifty gadget is pretty damn cool and worth $120.

Keep in mind you only have until December 16 to get your bids in for the prize you want. By all means, if you don’t want this prize, there are other prizes – but most of all, give some kids the opportunity to have a library and read. Donate here.
