Photo Friday: HDR – Storm on the Mainland – Utila, Honduras

I swear I am not becoming addicted to HDR. I just find myself in situations where the moment could not be captured in a better way.

Almost every night here in Utila, Honduras, there is a lightning show from the storms/rainy season on mainland Honduras. My theory is that the mountains near La Ceiba catch most of the rain seeing as we don’t even get a drop of it.

My favorite thing to do is to sit outside and watch the insane amount of lightning shoot out of the clouds. If I get bored of that, I can just stare up at the sky and look at the millions of stars I didn’t know existed (and the Milky Way!).

  1. @Sheryll: It is so incredibly amazing and I could sit out and stare at the night sky for hours (if it wasn’t for the hordes of mosquitoes right before we left).
