People always ask me what the hell we managed to do on an island where all there is to do is dive (which we did a lot of in Utila, don’t get me wrong). If you look around you there is plenty to see and explore.
While you may find yourself at Treetanic Bar multiple nights a week (voted one of the best bars in the world consistently on Lonely Planet), this place is totally worth checking out during the day.
Half Treetanic Bar and the Jade Seahorse Hotel in Utila, the rumor is that the owner spent 20 years decorating this real life Alice in Wonderland.
Just check it out. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

Disclosure: I did not receive ANYTHING for doing this post. I thought the place was neat and totally worth your time to check out.

WOW! What a cool bar! The colors, tiles, attention to detail…It’s an artists dream. Fantastic photos!!!
Wow that looks cool… I love the color!!!
@Sheryll: It was so rad. It was a shame you couldn’t really see it at night so a trip up there is a must during the day.
@Jaime: There was so much to take pictures of, I could only pick a few to feature. This place has so many nooks and crannies.
No pics of the banana spiders?
Gorgeous, I love all the detail work! so fun
Such a cool place, I LOVE it!
@Talon: There was one! It is just hard to see. 😛
@Faith: It is the detail that really drew me into the place. You have to have some serious love to accomplish this.
@Andi: Even better after a few beers!
WOW Thats probably the cutest bar I ever see! Those tile and design are so fun and artsy.
@Sarah: Isn’t it darling? I have so much respect for the owner who put it together.
