Blowing Stuff Up: Our Pyrotechnics Workshop with Cloud 9 Living

*KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

I felt shivers down my spine.

No, I’m not a pyro but I’ve dreamed about being a pyrotechnician since the day I struck my first match and lit my first artillery shell. Now I was doing it as a class?

Silly grins lit up our faces.

I’m in heaven. I think we hit the nail on the head when it came to the activity we would like with Cloud 9 Living. They sell experiences – and this was one hell of an experience.

After 6 months of videoless travel, we bring you: BLOWING STUFF UP: Our Pyrotechnics Workshop with Cloud 9 Living.

If you would like to see a higher res video, please check out our Vimeo page.

So as you continue crossing all of the non-naughty names off your holiday list, remember that the most memorable gifts don’t fit inside wrapped boxes or bags full of tissue paper. And just in case you need one more reason to check out the experience gifts that Cloud 9 Living offers, be sure to enter the 9 Days of Christmas Giveaway in order to win an experience for yourself.

Disclosure: We were guests of Cloud 9 Living, however – if you can see the stupid grins on our faces – it really was cool and all opinions are our own.

  1. Sparklers scare me, so I’m not sure how I’d handle this workshop haha! Although I do love your goofy faces in the photo, I think I’d have to keep a safe distance whilst wearing several pairs of goggles.

  2. This is so crazy! I got really nervous that you were going to blow your faces off when you were right over those tubes mixing the chemicals, but I realize that is probably somewhat irrational πŸ™‚

  3. I’m definitely with you on giving experiences rather than things. This year for my mom and sister’s birthdays I gifted them massages at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland… my priciest gifts to date, but so worth it for the memories!

  4. SPARKLERS?! Good lord I would love to see you try to light an artillery shell.

And safety goggles?!? They get in the way! πŸ˜›

  5. Without a charge or fire near, you’re looking at a one in a million chance something will happen. It would be like being afraid to be near a box of matches. That and the “grade” of explosives these are were tiny. They wouldn’t do too much damage. Except for the flame thrower. πŸ˜›
