We have spent the past week here in San Miguel de Allende. This town has its own quirky vibe and the art background of this community is even expressed through the beautiful doorways and knockers found around town. I thought I would share a few of my favorites.
There really is not other place in the world quite like the detailed San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Make sure to take a peek around when you happen to be there – or you will miss what is so amazing about the city!

Oh wow I love the locks & also love the diff colors in the wood.
wow, beautiful photos, the texture and the decay feel makes it one of my favor shot.
Love pics of old wooden doors. They can be so full of character.
Hey, not fair. You said you were posting pictures of local beautiful knockers. I was quite disappointed. Oh well, probably for the best since I was looking at the pics at work.
@Jaime: I love how the weathered look of the wood is just something you cannot fake. 🙂
@Sarah: Thanks! Decay can be beautiful.
@Jill: I think that is why I like them so much. Every one can be so different. It makes me wonder what they have seen.
@Dad: /facepalm
can’t help it. Affected by one of my favorite movies.
