Easily one of my favorite adventures, the World’s Most Dangerous Road (or Death Road) in La Paz rocked our face off! What we didn’t realize was that we started in the snowy peaks of the surrounding mountains and end in the warm and rainy rainforests 30-40 miles away.
This experience single-handedly got me addicted to downhill bicycling. I live for speed. I want it now. Death Road, you got me right here (*points to heart*).
Shaun was kinda “meh” about the whole thing and it definitely blew his mind. What they don’t tell you is that it is probably one of the most beautiful rides you can do in the world. Bolivia has officially become our “most stunning country” award and for a good reason. Check it out!

Bolivia boasts all kinds of recreational activities in some of the most stunning environments- as seen in this video. Playing a round of golf near La Paz is no exception and will be one of most unique places to improve your handicap. These courses may not be as famous as the ones in the LPGA Tour, but they are still beautiful. For example, the course in Valle de la Luna feels as though you’re on the surface of the moon and not just because of the crazy high elevation. Surrounded by eroded sandstone mountains and canyons, several of which require the use a bridge to get across, this is gorgeous course is definitely worth a visit.
Nice. The video rewind memories when I was at Uttarakhand, India but was driving motorbike.
Nature always the best. Thanks for sharing.
This is so freakin’ cool!
Way cool! 🙂
Cool!
That looks like a lot of fun and beautiful landscapes too. Glad I stumbled across your blog.
Cool video!
@Tushar: That sounds like an AMAZING time! <3
@Dad: Thanks pops! ♥
@Pamela: Welcome aboard Pamela! Glad you enjoyed it. We like to see new faces around here. <3
@Brock: Thanks man! Means a lot coming from ya!
At first I was like, hardly seems that dangerous, 2 lane paved road…then the video got the gravel section, and yep, there are some definite sketch areas along the route. Good on yah, hoping to get there myself someday.
@Dave: Sketch may be an understatement sometimes. Both of us had a scare when we slipped a bit and you go flying towards the cliffs. Nice ride though – BEAUTIFUL!
