Per the consensus, this week is a color photo week! Shaun and I were making our way up to Las Vegas when I saw this amazing view from the car on the way to the Hoover Dam.
Looking out the window when making long, nostalgic road trips across the country can bring your some of the most amazing views of your life. It is crazy to think that not many Americans make their right of passage cross country. It is one of the things on many people’s bucket lists that aren’t from here!
And here I thought I was the only one who loved a good ‘out the car window’ picture 🙂
That area of Arizona is so pretty, been there many times. The new flyover that goes above the dam is almost done, which is a nice architectural feat in and of itself, however, I think it takes away from the significance of driving over the Hoover dam.
Love it! Nothing I love more than shots taken while driving. The mountains are so beautiful. 🙂
Great capture!
oooh! I love it!
@Justin: I have to admit I’m a sucker for those types of pics. I think the new flyover is going to have so many people miss out on the Hoover Dam experience.
@Bethany: Thanks! It was taken out the driver side window and Shaun had to lean back since he was driving.
Andi: Thanks lovely!
@Sheryll: Me too!
wow the largest dam! I always wanted to see it. I see it on history channel 😛
@Sarah: Take the “Dam Tour” when you go. Jokes included. It really is a phenomenal piece of work.
