While walking through Toledo there were so many small alleys and beautiful streets. This street caught my eye in particular due to the amazing textured road and gorgeous old buildings. While I love living in the U.S., there is something spectacular about the older houses. Its like you are walking past history.
If only walls could talk….
Toledo (English /toʊˈleɪdoʊ/ (toe-LAY-dough); Spanish: [toˈleðo]; Latin: Toletum, Arabic: طليطلة, DIN: Ṭulayṭulah) is a municipality located in central Spain, 70 km south of Madrid. It is the capital of the province of Toledo and the autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive cultural and monumental heritage and historical co-existence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures.
Toledo is known as the “Imperial City” for having been the main venue of the court of Charles I, and as the “City of the Three Cultures”, having been influenced by a historical co-existence of Christians, Muslims and Jews. In 1085, the city fell to Alfonso VI of Castile as the first major city in the Christian Reconquista. Toledo has a history in the production of bladed weapons, which are now popular souvenirs of the city.- Wikipedia
Hi Erica,
That is an amazing shot you took. I especially love old streets and building. They make you feel liek you’re wandering in a different time era. Great post and photo and nice blog!

I love tbis photo, especially the timeless feel from use of black and white.
@Sarah: Thank you!
@Mark: I try not to make everything I shoot into B&W but it can be so addicting!
I love the contrast of the buildings and the sky! The buildings are so dark and detailed and the sky is completely blank.
Wow what a great picture!
Awesome.. I like the shape of brick on the hill. Oldie, and classy. 🙂
@Jolie: Thanks girlie! I love this pic. 🙂
@Brendan: Thank you!!!
@Juno: What’s funny is that I notice things like individual bricks as well lol.
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun walking around these alleys!
I am not even going to mention how many alley pictures I took… everything is so picturesque.
