Travel Photography – Church in Toledo Spain

The following picture was taken earlier this year while Shaun and I were traveling in and around Madrid Spain. This gem was caught on a nice, crisp day in Toledo, Spain.

Click on the picture to see it on a black background. I will toot my own horn here – it looks AWESOME.

*After some research I found that this mystery church of mine is actually the Church of San Roman or (Iglesia de San Roman). This off the beaten path church is interesting as is due to the Moor and Christian decorations found throughout.

The San Román is a church in Toledo, Spain. The church has a steeple built in the mudéjar architectural style in the 13th century.[1] It stands on top of one of the twelve hills of Toledo in one of the oldest parts of the town. It is currently the seat of the Museo de Arte Visigótico.

  1. (tooting your horn back!) You’re right, it’s awesome.

Beautiful contrast with the dark shadows and silhouette against the bright sky. And the birds are a great touch. Did you just luck out on them, or were you waiting for them to take off?

  2. Thank you! As for the birds, it was an extremely lucky shot with them. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect flight.

  3. Hang in there Erica! You know you’re gonna forget about all of this work stuff once you’re out there. Have fun!
