Episode 10 – Momentos: Guatemala

We made it to the big 1-0! It only took me 48+ hours of straight uploading from our small room on a Honduran wifi connection but gosh darn it, I got it up!

We spent almost a month in Guatemala and what a busy one it was. As promised – I take your suggestions very seriously and this time Shaun and I are in the video a little more. Enjoy and please feel free to leave feedback. I want to keep getting better at this!

  1. Fantastic! I didn’t realize how much I missed Guatemala until watching your video. Looks like you guys are having a great time.

  2. I am glad your faces are in this video a little more. worth the 48 hours of uploading. Busted out laughing when I saw Shaun at the futbol game, it remeinded me of his post. Love you all, miss you a lot.

  3. @Dad: Miss you guys too! Getting ourselves in footage is much harder than it sounds. It is either one or the other that can be in it!

  4. Wow – great video you guys!! Love it and really makes me miss Guat! Seriously the last boat ride reminded me of when i tripped balls on a space cake in San Pedro (did not plan for it) then got kicked out of 2 bars, got locked in our bedroom at night (turns out it had no interior doorknob) and had to pee on a towel in the corner… Was priceless really. oh Guatemala…. would go back in a heartbeat though! As for shooting yourselves in the videos – get a tripod and attach it to the camera and hold it out in front of you. Of course harder w/ a big camera but maybe if you have a little camera you can try it. Then you can walk and film yourselves walking together !

  5. Very nice video, guys! Capture the essence of Guatemala, especially the scenes with people and market! I’ve been arranging some videos too, pretty much stuck in the audio stage… I can’t decide what song to use 🙂

  6. @Bethany: OMG I just cackled! HAHAHAHA! This is such a great story. 😛 As for the tripod idea – super awesome. We’ll give it a try!

  7. @Dina: Thank you lady! The audio always gets me. It usually takes me a few hours to find the perfect one. Who do you use?

  8. @Elizabeth: Thank you! I search long and hard for good music for the videos. I’m glad you liked it. Guatemala was probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to.

  9. LOVE the colors throughout the video. A minute or so in I’m thinking “I want to be there NOW” — glad you were finally able to get it uploaded!

  10. @Heather: It is definitely a colorful place. Guatemala is one of the most visually stunning places I’ve ever been to. I’m glad you liked it!
