Happy April Fools Day!

I assume everyone is having a great day pulling pranks and lying to family/friends/co-workers, but today’s post is no laughing matter.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will no longer be attempting to grow our own chives. We gave it a valiant effort, but in the end, we were not able to get that damn plant to grow. Although, our cilantro tasted great in the tortilla soup last night.

Also, we would like to thank everyone for the continued support we’ve been receiving. So far we have already had people offer up there homes to us in Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil. We have also registered with Couchsurfing.org and are very excited about meeting new people and experiencing the cultures.

We have also decided that we will be leaving this winter and travel until we’re out of money. It would be great if we can make it a full year, but if not, we will still be making the most out of every day to ensure that our book is amazing.

So now that a rough date has been set (and a bank account set up), please help out in any way you can. The donation page is up and Erica’s pictures are wonderful. Also, if there is a specific picture that you want and it is only on Flickr currently, let her know as most of those are available as well.

Keep in mind that our goal with this project was to not only make the trip for ourselves, but to create a fund to assist other people in realizing their dreams of travel/art. Donations will be recognized (unless stated to by anonymous) and definitely worth some karma points.
